It’s inevitable. Couples can annoy each other from time to time. And this can be especially true when it comes to wedding planning. Here are the top five ways brides can annoy their grooms—and how to avoid them.
1. Talking “wedding” 24/7. Of course, your wedding day is one of the most important days in your life, but that doesn’t mean you have to let it completely consume your life, day in and day out, between your engagement and the big day. Schedule some non-wedding time with your fiancé to keep some sense of sanity alive—for both of you.
2. Wavering on every single decision. When it comes to decision-making, most guys don’t like to mess around. If you waffle on every wedding related decision, he’s sure to get annoyed. And if you ask your groom for his opinion and still end up waffling, good luck. Instead, make an educated decision, based on both of your input, and stick to it. Then move on with the next item on your list. Otherwise, it will be tough to accomplish anything and you’ll end up stressing out yourself—and your groom.
3. Crying—over everything. Trust me, I get it. Weddings are emotional. But try not to get so caught up in the emotional rollercoaster that you burst into tears at the drop of a hat, say when your fiancé’s mom asks if she can invite her third cousin to the wedding or your maid of honor wants to wear a dress in your not-so-favorite color. Try handling everything in a calm, collected fashion, whenever possible, to prevent letting emotions cloud your judgment—and escalate into an unnecessary blow-out.
4. Insulting his mother. You and your future mother-in-law may not see eye-to-eye on everything, but that doesn’t mean he wants to hear about it each and every time an issue comes up between the two of you. After all, she’s his mother, and she can likely do no harm. Pick your battles here.
5. Acting helpless. Let’s face it. You’re perfectly capable of doing many, many things—without his help. While screaming and crying to get him to kill a spider may get some results, screaming and crying for his help with every detail of your wedding plans likely won’t. Instead, create a plan to split up the wedding planning duties between the two of you and then work on knocking them out—together.

What girl doesn’t love a good chat with friends while enjoying a pitcher of Sangria? Although Sangria is traditionally made with a wine base, Champagne can add a light bubbly flair for your cocktail by simply adding your favorite fruit to your champagne. For a refreshing holiday twist, try using orange slices and some sprigs of fresh mint.

The look: Also known as brilliant-cut, this tried-and-true shape reflects more light than any other, and is the most popular. Avril Lavigne showed her traditional side by wearing a round diamond engagement ring.

The look: Inspired by the Asscher, this glamorous choice is also a rectangular step-cut shape. It has fewer facets than some of the other shapes, so look for an emerald-cut that offers maximum brilliance.

The look: Rectangular with curved sides, the cushion-cut first hit big in the 18th century. A recent resurgence in popularity has given it a modern-meets-vintage feel. Ben Affleck gave Jennifer Garner a cushion-cut rock.

Princess
The look: This relatively new square shape, with a modern, understated feel, combines a sparkly, brilliant effect with a geometric step-cut. You can attribute its spectacular glitter to extra faceting around the rim.

The look: This century-old shape, symbolizing love and devotion, should be well proportioned for optimum sparkle. Kid Rock proposed to Pamela Anderson with a yellow heart-shaped diamond.

The look: Resembling a teardrop, a pear-shaped diamond has the fire and beauty of a round shape, but with a less conventional look. This shape can also make a wide finger look slimmer.

A fresh take on a timeless style, this new shape came about in the early 1960s. Actor Jerry O’Connell recently gave his betrothed fashionista, Rebecca Romijn, an oval-shaped sparkler.

Did you ever wonder what goes into a Central NJ wedding reception? The decor, the lighting, the cocktail reception, all of these details and more are revealed in our behind the scenes series of wedding videos that will be showcased at each of the Hotels Unlimited properties. Today’s post features the Versailles Ballroom at the Ramada of Toms River, NJ. Located in the prime location of Ocean County the Versailles Ballroom is close to both Point Pleasant and Seaside Heights and allows for great photo opportunities in the Jersey Shore local area.
Today Hotels Unlimited is happy to introduce Lauren and Matt who were married on September 17th. Lauren and Matt like some of our Toms River couples held their Jersey Shore wedding ceremony on the nearby beaches and took pictures there. Then when it came time to celebrate the reception, they brought elements of the beach back with them to the Versailles Ballroom inside the Ramada Toms River. This is a great way to bring the beach into your special day without paying through the nose for a venue on the water. This locally inspired wedding features photographs from Georgian Court University, Ocean County Beaches and of course the Versailles Ballroom.
