  1. Central New Jersey Six Flags Deals On Fun!

    April 11, 2013 by jcoppock

Calling all New Jersians looking for hot hotel deals!

Are you ready to scream and shout and let it all out this Memorial Day weekend?!

Well if you’re not, you should be…

There are some amazing Six Flags hotel packages that are going on at the Radisson Freehold, The Holiday Inn East Windsor, and the Days Inn East Windsor which just so happen to be right around the corner from Six Flags Great Adventure.  They are offering Stay & Play Packages that have helped our customers save around $150 each!

Now, that’s something to shout about!

Choose from 1-Day, 2-Day or 2-Park tickets. Also offered are Hurricane Harbor tickets and parking passes. Book your “Great Adventure” and save big!

Jackson, New Jersey is home of the world’s tallest roller coaster. Kingda Ka in the Six Flags Amusement Park stands at 456 feet. You’ll definitely get a thrill from this ride.

If you’re not really into the whole screaming your head off because you feel that you are plummeting to your death however, check out the newest attraction at Six Flags.

THE SIX FLAGS SAFARI OFF-ROAD ADVENTURE!

The safari spans over a rolling 350 acres of beautiful Jackson, New Jersey terrain.

“I was afraid to go in the old safari because I heard horror stories about what the monkeys would do to your windshield wipers,” said Jen Campbell, a Jackson resident.

The new and improved safari will take guests on a 30-seat truck that is open on all sides so that the animals can be seen clearly. But the safari isn’t all about just seeing the animals. There is a pitt-stop, where you called Camp Aventura where you can get off the truck and FEED EXOTIC ANIMALS.

Maybe your dreams of being a zoo-keeper as a child CAN finally come true.

There will also be shows featuring different kinds of animals, and animal information and, and, and…. Wait for it… A ZIP LINE. There’s no reason to take a trip to an actual jungle to get the experience of zip-lining. This two-seater zipline for a little bit of an extra fee will give you the same feel!

If you’re worried about safety, have no fear! The animals that like to push the bar and get a little too close to the humans like the baboons will be fenced in! However, don’t let that shy you away from the “true safari experience,” the rhinos will be up close and personal, and the lions will be separated by a moat!

The Safari Off-Road Adventure is included in the price of admission to Great Adventure, as the two parks merged at the end of last season. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is still considered a separate park.

  2. Internship for the 2013 Fall Semester!

    April 9, 2013 by jcoppock

If you’re looking for a marketing, public relations, event planning, or design internship for the fall 2013 semester, read on! Or even if you’re not looking for an internship, but want to know more about the Hotels Unlimited Marketing Department and what they do, for the company’s hotels and central New Jersey wedding venues  keep reading. The answers to those questions are below!

I, Gina DiFazio, a senior at Rider University, have been an intern for Hotels Unlimited in East Windsor, New Jersey for the past two semesters of my college career and I wish I could stay for another!

Julia Coppock, the Marketing Director of Hotels Unlimited is a fiery red-head who knows what she’s doing. Julia has been with the company for 8 years, and says, “I love working for a company that has high standards of excellence, and I love keeping up with emerging wedding trends and learning about new ways to communicate with our audience.”

Fabienne Banczak, the Graphic Designer, has been here for nearly five years and says that, “I love working for companies like Hotels Unlimited who challenge me to achieve my highest potential in design and brand strategy.  I love the diversity of my job and the ease at which I can make a direct, positive impact in the company. I have a passion for branding projects that require me to envision many different uses and applications for my designs. I enjoy teaching my craft and educating others about the benefits of good design.”

Jenny Fisher, Marketing Coordinator, the newest member of the marketing “team” has been here for about six months.

“I love it!” Says Jenny, “My first job gave me some experience in marketing, content writing, and design, but wasn’t capable of teaching me programs like Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc. When I came across Hotels Unlimited and saw what the job could offer me, I knew this is exactly where I wanted to be! I’ve been able to learn so much in a little amount of time, and it is all due to my amazing coworkers. I love working at a company where I am continuously learning, having diversity in what I’m working on, and enjoying what I do.”

I say “team” because that is truly how you feel when you work with these women.

At Hotels Unlimited just because you’re the intern does not make you any less important. The work you do is just as meaningful and you won’t be making afternoon coffee runs, or getting lunch orders here. You’ll be dining with the rest of the full-timers at East Windsor’s restaurant [for free ;) ].

The skills you learn at this internship are focused mainly on your blog-writing and social media understanding. One of the main focuses of the intern is keeping the blog post content new and relatable to all of our customers/potential customers.

So what does this mean?… Don’t find yourself saying CRAAP at the end of the day. Remember this acronym and it will help you throughout this entire position!

C-Is for CONNECTED: Staying connected with clients is so important when you’re the intern. You want your clients to know that just because you’re the intern does not mean that you aren’t just as professional as everyone else in the office. Stay connected with them! Know what new content is on their pages, what they are up to, and what new ideas are buzzing around for them!

R-Is for RELEVANT: When writing content for Hotels Unlimited it’s important to know what you’re talking about. If you’re writing about a wedding, go through all the pictures, explore the theme, make connections to the couple by using the information that is provided, and then seek some more out so that the blog is personalized to the couple. The bride and groom will love to see that the content is clearly about them… not information that can be applied to any old bride and groom.

A-Is for AWARE: Be aware of what the other women are working on in the office. The best intern is one who offers a hand. Always be ready to help out, and never say you’re not interested! ANY information you can learn will benefit you in the future—even if it’s learning what you DON’T want to have any part in.

A-Is for ACCESSIBLE: If you’re an accessible intern it means that you are ready to do anything! From picking out decorations for an upcoming event, like the Turn the Tide Bridal Show to writing content for a website, to creating a new blog post idea, make sure the ladies know you want to help!

And finally- P-IS for PERSISTENT: DO NOT allow yourself to be shut down by anyone. Clients will avoid contacting you if they feel it is going to be a lot of work for them. Make their lives easier. YOU put in the work, YOU send the emails, YOU make the phone calls, and YOU come up with ideas. By doing this, you’re showing people that you’re capable of anything they throw in your direction and you’re happy to help with all of it!

Now, if you’re feeling overwhelmed, DON’T BE. This position will truly be an experience that you will never forget. Some of my fondest memories are of things that I really did not want to do at the outset.

For example, I had to write a blog post about a woman that had to reschedule her wedding due to Hurricane Sandy. I was unsure of how to go about writing it without coming off as insensitive. It was a devastating time for a lot of New Jersians and I really wanted to do this bride justice.

I ended up writing a piece that had some people with tears in their eyes! It was the most rewarding thing to know that what I wrote could really have an impact on the individuals that read the blog.

  4. Message from Jersey Shore Hotels: We’re Ready for Vacation Season!

    February 26, 2013 by jcoppock

Fellow New Jersians! Are you looking for a vacation spot this summer? Well look no further! Our Jersey Shore hotels are here to tell you that the Jersey Shore is up and running and excited to put some spunk back onto its beaches.

Do not give up on your Jersey Shore vacation dreams because of what you have seen on the news.

The damage from Sandy was absolutely devastating, but true to New Jersey’s roots, it’s back up and ready to run.

“Of course it will be a little bit different, but give me the sand, clear skies, warm weather, and you can bet that I’ll be having a drink with my girls, tanning, and dancing the night away just like we always have. Hurricane Sandy cannot keep me away from the shore. I grew up there and I can’t wait to go back, spend money I don’t have, and help bring it back to what it was,” said a true Jersey girl, Carla K.

    K. spent most of her summers going down to Point Pleasant Beach with her family and friends.

“Jenkinson’s Boardwalk was one of my absolute favorite places to visit. Most of my summer memories came from there, I wouldn’t be the woman I am today if I didn’t have those memories” said K.

Well, Carla, have no fear… Jenkinson’s Boardwalk will be up and running and ready for the summer crowd.

Some attractions you can look forward to are the Jenkinson’s Aquarium, Jenkinson’s Fun House, Mini Golf, Arcade Games, and Batting Cages. Also, do not forget to make a stop in the Jenkinson’s Sweet Shop, to treat yourself after a hard day’s work of tanning. After all, getting an even tan is a trying job.

When you get bored of stuffing your face with Jenkinson’s famous candies, go back to your hotel room, scrub up, put on that little black dress and hit the town!

Some favorites are Martell’s Tiki Bar, Jenk’s ClubClub Karma, Bamboo. Don’t worry if you have kids. Jenk’s club offers a teen night, so they can show off their tan lines too!

So listen up New Jersey, DO NOT miss out on bringing the shore back! Those memories you have built up for your lifetime do not need to stop here. Keep creating them, and book your trip to the shore now!

  7. Firsthand Snapshot of the Tickled Pink Bridal Show!

    November 13, 2012 by jcoppock

The Hotels Unlimited Tickled Pink Bridal Show at the Crystal Ballroom wedding venue in Freehold, NJ, was an amazing success! Here’s a firsthand snapshot of the experience…

From the moment you stepped out of your car, you felt like a celebrity: valet parking, escorts to the registration tables, escorts to the wedding planning teams, not to mention the décor when you walked in. A towering breast cancer awareness ribbon ice-sculpture was illuminated with pink lighting and complimentary pink cocktails surrounding it. It was the perfect setup to gather and plan ideas for your perfect wedding.

SCE created a lounge atmosphere in the Crystal Ballroom with white draping and mood lighting galore. The room was accented by high backed white leather couches, and chandeliers lit up in pink. Chiavari chairs lined the runway where the models would soon be strutting by in the beautiful designs by Sweetest Sin Boutique wedding lingerie. Abella Studios’ cameras flashed all night.

The models in the fashion show walked with an elegance and confidence that impressed the crowd tenfold. Their themed ensembles were complemented by hair and makeup designs. Kiss and Makeup 247 highlighted the girls’ inner beauty, and Hot Mess Studio rocked the hair!

Brides, booked or un-booked, could not stop raving about the vendor tables. They browsed exquisite bridal gowns from Sassy Chic Boutique. One favorite gown – featuring floor length draping, a sweetheart neckline, and a dramatic white feather bustier – attracted endless praise from passersby.

Narcissus Florals also pulled out all the stops with their centerpiece displays. One stood about three feet atop a table sprinkled with crystals. The centerpiece had black feathers spilling over the top. Another centerpiece stood about four feet overhead with bright pink flowers intertwined with green leaves that created the perfect dramatic flair.

“I could not have been happier with the bridal show’s outcome. We gave the brides a VIP treatment we hope they will never forget,” said Julia Coppock, Marketing Director for Hotels Unlimited.

1% of all the proceeds will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The group’s representative, Alicia Barbieri, said that she could not wait for next year, and hopes to make an annual appearance at the bridal show.

The bridal show also attracted a celebrity! Doria Pagnotta from Jerseylicious, a popular show on the Style Network, joined the crowd. Recently, Pagnotta was engaged and is planning her wedding for next year. “This whole thing was aDORIAble!” said Pagnotta. Doria does onsite hair and make-up designs with her own company, Stunning Beauty By Doria.

We want to thank everyone who participated in the Tickled Pink Bridal Show. It was an amazing time, and we can’t wait for next year!

  8. Light Up Your Wedding

    October 11, 2012 by jcoppock

Hello, brides and grooms. We wanted to bring to your attention the new LED lighting in the Crystal Ballroom at the Radisson Freehold. You might be thinking, “Who cares about the lights?” But reflect for a moment… We all have that mirror we just don’t look in because the lights are too bright in the room, and you can count every wrinkle and see every imperfection on your otherwise beautiful face. What happens if you walk into a room on your WEDDING DAY and come face to face with unflattering lighting? Have no fear – we can thwart this unfortunate twist of fate.

The Crystal Ballroom at the Radisson Freehold, with the help of SCE Event Group, has just installed ceiling-inlayed customizable LED lighting. This means, for those of you who have no idea what LED lighting is, that we are able to change the colors, customize the colors, and quickly or gradually fade through a dazzling spectrum.

So, want a Cinderella themed wedding? We’ve got you covered with our blue and white lights shining all night on our crystal chandeliers.

Beach themed wedding? Not a problem… yellow, white, and blue lights will go perfectly with the rest of your décor.

How about the bride who just can’t decide on a few colors? Don’t sweat it… Our Crystal Ballroom team has the ability to change the color palette all night, slowly enough that you won’t feel like you’re at a rave, but with enough impact to make your reception feel like the most magical place on earth.

Just pretend you’re a kid with a new box of crayons.  The only limit is your imagination!
